Yes we always have to provide a way for user to get back to home page. Every sub pages should be just one click away from going back home. But, don’t make them must go to home before they could go somewhere else. So always provide menu on top or left side of sub pages in your every web design.

Don’t put navigation links only at the bottom of the page. Navigation link is what user always looking for. Putting them at the bottom make people must scroll down before reaching them. Minus point for web usability.

But it doesn’t mean we can’t put navigation link on the bottom. If we have long pages, it’s better to put menus both on bottom and top of the page. Bottom navigation link is useful for long pages. After they read the whole page, they don’t have to scroll all the way up to find the menu.
