Having the keywords stand out from the rest of the text on a page gives more importance on them, thus making them more valuable than other keywords within the text.

The first and the most forgotten step is to craft an SEO-friendly title, which means that the title must contain the main keywords of the article.

Step two: include your keywords within the 6 predefined heading tags (<H1> to <H6>), because search engines will take these semantics heavily into consideration when scanning your pages for keywords or phrases.

Just like the <H(1-6)> tags, using effects such as bold, italic and underline to highlight keywords will also place more importance on them. So, make sure you use these formatting styles every once in a while. That’s step three.

You should make sure that only about 2% to 5% of your text is keywords. Be careful not to overcrowd your text with keywords cause you might get penalized.
